Professional of the Year

This award will go to a woman who has made a significant personal contribution to the success of the established company they run or in which they are employed, within the corporate sector. We would like to know their/your personal involvement in the company’s growth or expansion, its move into new products or services or new markets along with any other pertinent contribution made by them/you.

Young Entrepreneur of the Year

This award will go to a woman (aged 35 or under) who has made a significant contribution to the company they run, in which they are employed or the organisation they have been promoted or fast tracked within. We would like to know any personal involvement they/you have had in the/their company’s growth or expansion or in new systems being introduced along with any other pertinent contribution made by the individual concerned. The judges will also wish to hear about the more personal qualities that have made them successful including anything they/you are involved in outside of the business.

Mentor of the Year

This award will go to either a male or female who has demonstrated the skills of being a mentor to female employees. The winner will be someone who has gone the extra mile in supporting a colleague or business and has made a difference to their life or business. The judges will be interested in the details of what has happened as a result of their/your mentorship, this may be for one or several different people or businesses.

Community Champion of the Year

This award will go to the woman who can demonstrate the differences they have made to their community and/or Gloucestershire over the last year. The judges will be interested in all the different aspects both individually and through the company they/you run or in which are employed including volunteering and corporate social responsibility. Detail work they/you have done and specifically the outcome.

Creative Woman of the Year

This award will celebrate achievement in food, design, marketing/pr, hair and beauty or the arts. We would like to know the impact they have had on the business they own/work in and examples of creative work.

Business of the Year

This award will go to the profitable business that either has a female owner/s or a high percentage of females on the senior management team. The organisation will not only have increased potential but will have also had a positive impact on the economy of Gloucestershire. The judges will be interested in innovative products, services and processes as well as expansion into new markets and different areas of business activity. The size and age of the business will be considered against the financial performance with information being supplied by the entrants and/or checked through public records.  A summary of the accounts will need to be submitted – all such information will be treated in absolute confidence.

Start-up Business of the Year

This award is for women who have set up a successful business that’s at least 1 year old. All types of businesses are eligible, with exception of franchises. The judges will be interested in innovative products, services and processes as well as expansion into new markets and different areas of business activity.

Digital Woman of the Year

This award will recognise women who have set up a successful e-business that operates solely online. The judges will be interested in innovative products, services and processes as well as expansion into new markets and different areas of business activity.

Woman to Watch (Under 30)

This award will go to a woman (Under 30) who has made a significant contribution to the company they run, in which they are employed or the organisation they have been promoted or fast tracked within. We would like to know any personal involvement they/you have had in the/their company’s growth or expansion or in new systems being introduced along with any other pertinent contribution made by the individual concerned. The judges will also wish to hear about the more personal qualities that have made them successful including anything they/you are involved in outside of the business.

Sportswoman of the Year

This award will go to a woman who has achieved an outstanding performance at regional level or above.
