This award will go to a woman who has made a significant contribution to the company they run, in which they are employed or the organisation they have been promoted or fast tracked within. We would like to know any personal involvement they/you have had in the/their company’s growth or expansion or in new systems being introduced along with any other pertinent contribution made by the individual concerned. The judges will also wish to hear about the more personal qualities that have made them successful including anything they/you are involved in outside of the business.
The award will be presented to the woman that has provided the best customer service to the local community, to internal stakeholders or to clients. This person will be seen to be regularly going ‘above and beyond’ the call of duty to ensure their customers receive excellent service. This award will be presented to the woman who demonstrates excellent business acumen and high achievement in business.
Businesses must be based out of the business owner’s home and be run by a woman; all types of businesses are eligible, with exception of franchises, as long as they are home based; Independent agents of national organizations such as Mary Kay, Tupperware, etc are not eligible. This award will go to the profitable business the organisation will not only have increased potential but will have also had a positive impact on the economy of Bristol and Bath. The judges will be interested in innovative products, services and processes as well as expansion into new markets and different areas of business activity. A summary of the accounts will need to be submitted – all such information will be treated in absolute confidence.
This award goes to a female manager or leader who has demonstrated exceptional vision and leadership in business. This person can be heading up the business or running a department or team within a company in Bristol or Bath. The judges want to know about this woman’s leadership style and how they are leading their team to success.
This award will go to the profitable business that either has a female owner/s or a high percentage of females on the senior management team. The organisation will not only have increased potential but will have also had a positive impact on the economy of Bristol and Bath. The judges will be interested in innovative products, services and processes as well as expansion into new markets and different areas of business activity. The size and age of the business will be considered against the financial performance with information being supplied by the entrants and / or checked through public records. Annual accounts must be submitted when entering this category, these will be treated in the highest confidence and destroyed after judging.
This award is open to all businesses that have started trading since January 2015 and principal trading base is in Bristol or Bath with either woman/women owners or a female head of the company. The judges will be interested in a brief outline of the type of business and particularly the reasons why it was started.
This award will go to the woman or company run by or has a majority female staff who can demonstrate the differences they have made to their community and/or Bristol and Bath over the last year. The judges will be interested in all the different aspects both individually and through the company they/you run or in which are employed including volunteering and corporate social responsibility. Detail work they/you have done and specifically the outcome.
This award will go to the businesswoman who, in the opinion of the judges, has made a considerable, profitable and lasting contribution to business in Bristol and Bath. This may be awarded to a member of a company or a member of a business organisation. The judges will be looking for evidence of this individuals long term contribution to the development of the business community in Bristol and Bath.

This award will go to a business that has introduced a new product, process, invention, idea, or design that has made a significant contribution to the business and has a female owner/s or a high percentage of females on the senior management team. The judges will be interested in innovation that has improved an existing product, process, or an initiative that has led to the development of new products or services. They will also be interested in how innovation is embraced within the culture of the business.
Judges will be looking for entries which showcase the impact a female apprentice has had on the organisation they work for, as well evidence of personal self-development and progression.
Throughout the judging process, judges will be looking for an apprentice who is able to demonstrate a passion for their chosen apprenticeship.
This award will go to the woman who has demonstrated the skills of being a mentor to male or female employees, who has gone the extra mile in supporting a colleague or business and has made a difference to their life or business. The judges will be interested in the details of what has happened as a result of their/your mentorship, this may be for one or several different people or businesses.
This award will go to a woman who has made a significant personal contribution to the success of the established company they run or in which they are employed. We would like to know their/your personal involvement in the company’s growth or expansion, its move into new products or services or new markets along with any other pertinent contribution made by them/you. The judges will also wish to hear about the more personal qualities that have made them/you successful including activities they/you are involved in outside their/your business life, which have relevance to Bristol and Bath or the local community.
