Smith & Williamson

Smith & Williamson, the accountancy, investment management and tax group with offices in Bristol and Salisbury, is proud to sponsor the Western Daily Press’ Outstanding Contribution to Farming Awards in 2017.

Smith & Williamson, which has teams dedicated to advising on the private affairs and business needs of those working in the farming and agricultural, food and drink and landed estates sectors, is pleased to show its support through these awards.
Lisa Ball, a partner in Smith & Williamson’s Salisbury office who looks after the interests of farming clients and those with landed estates, said: “We are delighted to support the Western Daily Press’ Food and Farming Awards which showcase and champion our rich agricultural heritage and thriving food and drinks businesses. This is an area where we have significant experience and are proud of the close relationships we have forged over many years with the owners and families behind these businesses.”
Steve Ashworth, a tax specialist in Smith & Williamson’s Bristol office and Chairman of the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Rural and Food Group, has been a judge in 2015 and 2016 and this year will be judging the Family Farming Business category. He said: “We have been impressed with the calibre of entries in previous years and look forward to hearing more success stories in 2017.  The South West boasts some of the best known food and drink brands in the industry so we know the standard will be high.”
